Three stops between hitting "apply" and your last event of the summer.
Applications for Summer 2027 are open, and there are two: one for Event Staff roles at MOVE & MIX, and one just for the MIX Band. Finish the online application, then send in your supplemental materials (videos, essay questions, and more). You need both to be considered for an interview.
All interviews are done on Zoom, so you can interview from wherever you are.
Before you hit the road, we spend two weeks getting to know you, introducing you to CIY culture, and training you in your specific role.
Training happens at CIY headquarters in Joplin. You'll stay next door at Ozark Christian College in gender-specific dorms, with rides to and from the office every day.
Off the clock, Training Week traditions help your team connect before the summer starts:
Once everyone is hired, you're placed on a team that travels together all summer. Each team is led by a returning staff member, the Team Lead, who fills one of the roles, manages travel and schedules, and helps first-time staff find their footing.
Every team gets a tour. Between events you'll head back to CIY headquarters for an office week: a few hours of light work, then time to rest, decompress, and explore.
Each team gets a van.
Each team gets two vans.

“This summer was truly the best summer of my life and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!”
“It's one thing to do a ministry you love, it's another to do that with people you love.”
“I have loved being able to travel for a ministry that I know truly cares about the students.”
